As part of the annual Road Repair and Street Safety Program, the City of Flagstaff, in collaboration with its contractor C & E Paving and Grading, is set to reconstruct sections of Zuni Drive and Lucky Lane.

The reconstruction work on Zuni Drive will affect the area between Leupp Drive and Lone Tree Road. The project is scheduled to start on Monday, October 21, and aims for completion by Friday, November 8. During this period, traffic on the affected section will be limited to a single lane with flaggers managing the flow through the construction zone. Motorists are advised to anticipate brief delays of up to 15 minutes when passing through this area. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the Sinclair Wash Trail located north of the construction site. Bicycle access along Zuni Drive will remain open throughout the duration of the project.

Residents and businesses in proximity to the work zones should expect loud noise and operational construction equipment. "The City and its contractor are taking all possible measures to minimize the impact of this work on local residents and businesses," a statement noted.

The Road Repair and Street Safety program is financed by a $100 million sales tax approved by Flagstaff voters in 2014 under Proposition 406, dedicated over 20 years for road repair and street safety initiatives.
