The City of Flagstaff's Stormwater Management Section is calling for volunteers to assist with sandbag removal operations on Saturday, July 27. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Coconino Estates neighborhood.

Volunteers will help with the removal, disposal, and debris clean-up associated with temporary flood mitigations and sandbags. The City will provide gloves, safety vests, and necessary supplies. Participants are advised to wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, gloves, a hiking buff, and glasses for dust protection. It is also recommended that volunteers bring water and sun protection.

Interested individuals can sign up until the morning of the event at bit.ly/2024sandbagvolunteers.

Residents who are elderly or have disabilities and need assistance with their sandbags can call the City’s service request line at 928-213-2102 for support or additional information.
