The City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office has announced an upcoming Fix-It Clinic to be held on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center (245 N. Thorpe Rd.). The clinic is a community-driven event that pairs local residents with knowledgeable volunteers who can assist in repairing small appliances, clothing, electronics, and more.

These clinics are part of an initiative to promote hands-on sustainability within the community and educate individuals on how simple repairs can contribute significantly towards this goal. The aim is to work collaboratively towards a more sustainable Flagstaff.

In addition to the general volunteer pool, the City is also seeking individuals with sewing experience who would like to contribute their skills to this cause. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Steven Thompson, City of Flagstaff Sustainability Supervisor at (928) 213-2144 or via email at steven.thompson@flagstaffaz.gov.
