Traffic on US Highway 180 will be limited to one lane in both the northbound and southbound directions between mile post 217 and 218 from Monday, May 13 to Wednesday, May 15. This restriction is due to utility relocations for the Schultz Creek Drainage Improvements. Traffic control flaggers will be present to manage the flow of vehicles.
Work hours on Monday, May 13 are scheduled from 4 to 7 a.m. and again from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Tuesday, May 14, work will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while on Wednesday, May 15, work hours are set for between 5 and 7 a.m. Travelers using this route during these times should anticipate delays.
The Schultz Creek Drainage Improvements project aims at mitigating the post-fire flood threat resulting from the Pipeline Fire in 2022. Additionally, it is expected to significantly reduce or completely eliminate the existing FEMA special flood hazard area for the nearby neighborhood.
