The City of Flagstaff will mark Water Awareness Month in April with a series of events aimed at promoting water conservation among residents. Various locations around the city will host these events, providing opportunities for community members to engage in water-saving practices.
Flagstaff's Water Conservation team will offer free consultations and distribute water efficiency supplies throughout the month. Additionally, a raffle will be held for a free high-efficiency toilet. The following is a schedule of events planned for this initiative:
- Water Efficiency Makeovers: April 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., City Hall.
- Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival, Grand Canyon Spirit Night: April 4, 6 p.m., Orpheum Theater.
- Science Saturday: April 5, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Willow Bend Center.
- Water Efficiency Makeovers: April 11, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Buffalo Park.
- Water Treatment Plant Tour: April 12, 1 p.m., Lake Mary Water Treatment Plant.
- Earth Day: April 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bushmaster Park.
- Rainwater Harvesting Workshop: April 19, 12 p.m., Bushmaster Park.
- Earth Day: April 22, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Coconino Community College.
- Full STEAM Ahead: April 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Fort Tuthill.
- Water Efficiency Makeovers: April 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Joe C. Montoya Senior Center.
- Water Efficiency Makeovers: April 29, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library.
