University Avenue, soon to be known as Fresquez Avenue, will remain closed between Milton Road and Yale Street until the week of April 7, 2025. This closure is due to recent winter weather conditions. Traffic along Milton Road will not be affected by this closure.
The closure includes driveway entrances to Burger King and Wendy’s located on University Avenue. However, both establishments can still be accessed via Milton Road. Access to properties along University Avenue will be available through Yale Street and the new Beulah Boulevard extension. Drivers are advised to follow marked signage for safe navigation.
City officials and contractors are working diligently to complete concrete work and road reconstruction. They anticipate finishing the entire project by summer 2025. "We appreciate your understanding and patience," they stated.
