The Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library has reintroduced its bookmobile service, which had been in operation from 2006 to 2019. The mobile library, a familiar blue-and-purple bus, will once again travel throughout Coconino County. This initiative is the result of efforts by the library staff and the City of Flagstaff Fleet Services.

Residents can find the new schedule of stops at http://bit.ly/4139wa2.

The bookmobile is part of the library's mission to provide access to resources and opportunities for growth, learning, and innovation. It serves Northern Arizona's diverse region by extending library services directly to people where they live. The bookmobile offers onboard library services and a wide selection of materials, helping to remove barriers to access and strengthen community connections.

The service aims to reach individuals of all ages in remote areas of Coconino County as well as those within and near Flagstaff who may not have easy access to traditional library facilities. The schedule includes visits to assisted living and hospice facilities, schools, community centers, chapter houses, and trading posts. Routes may be adjusted based on community needs.

For further information or inquiries about the bookmobile service, Rebekah Wilce can be contacted at rwilce@flagstaffpubliclibrary.org or 928-213-2359.
