In June 2022, the Pipeline Fire swept through Schultz Pass, damaging Waterline Road and the underlying pipeline from Inner Basin. The basin springs and wells, Flagstaff’s earliest water supply, account for 20% of the potable water supply in summer months.
The Design-Build Agreement for Inner Basin Waterline Restoration Project was approved by City Council last month, allowing the Hunter Contracting-Jacobs Engineering partnership to begin design work to repair this critical water supply.
