The City of Flagstaff is calling for organizations to submit their qualifications to serve as the lead arts agency and/or grantmaking agency for its arts, science, and culture community. Interested parties can apply for one or both roles by March 11, 2025.

The chosen lead arts agency will coordinate initiatives in Flagstaff's arts, culture, and science sectors. Key responsibilities include long-term planning, leadership within the sector, and collaboration with partners to address infrastructure needs. The agency will also promote community engagement and enhance funding through grants while providing technical support and training. Additionally, it will contribute to the cultural landscape by organizing exhibitions and events that foster community vitality and investment.

Community investment director David McIntire stated, “We are excited to identify our partner for the coming years. We are looking forward to working together with them to build on the present momentum and further enhance the arts, culture, and science sectors of Flagstaff.”

Flagstaff is known as a regional economic hub in northern Arizona with a vibrant arts, science, and cultural scene influenced by its natural surroundings and heritage. This environment supports a variety of artistic and scientific pursuits.

The contract will be awarded based on responsiveness to the request for statements of qualifications and the benefits offered to the city.
