The City of Flagstaff's Sustainability Division is organizing two community stakeholder gatherings. These events aim to engage Flagstaff’s food systems stakeholders in reflecting on the findings from the recently published Flagstaff & Northern Arizona Community Food Systems Assessment. Participants will have the chance to share their needs and priorities, which will contribute to developing a Food Action Plan. The goal is to create a resilient, equitable, accessible, and sustainable local food system in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in these discussions by attending one of the two sessions. Due to limited seating, advanced registration is necessary.

The breakfast session will be held on October 23 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., while the lunch session is scheduled for October 24 from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. Both sessions will take place at Coconino Center for the Arts located at 2300 N Fort Valley Rd. Free food will be provided during these gatherings.

These events are part of a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant-funded project titled “Assessing & Growing a Community Food System.” The City Sustainability staff has collaborated with Pinnacle Prevention and Flagstaff Foodlink to organize these sessions.
