A prescribed burn will be conducted by the Flagstaff Fire Department southwest of the Lynwood and Cheshire neighborhoods on Monday, Sept. 23, and Tuesday, Sept. 24. The burn will target approximately 40 acres within the Jesse Greg RX Units. Resources on scene will include the City of Flagstaff Wildland Fire Management Module and Greater Flagstaff Area Fire Academy recruits.

Residents and visitors can expect smoke to be visible in the area. Smoke from the prescribed burn is expected to drift in a northeast direction. No closures of roads or FUTS trails are anticipated. All prescribed burn plans are weather-dependent.
