Speed limits reduced on sections of Butler Avenue in Flagstaff

The speed limit on portions of Butler Avenue has been reduced, effective immediately. The speed limit from S Milton Rd/Route 66 to E Sawmill Rd was reduced from 35 mph to 30 mph, and the speed limit from E Sawmill Rd to Ponderosa Pkwy was reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph. Speed limit signs in the corridor have been updated.

The reduction of speed limits along portions of Butler Avenue was directed by the Flagstaff City Council during the April 16, 2024 Council meeting.
