Glendale Public Library is excited to announce the launch of a unique and engaging initiative, the Spring Training Reading Challenge, set to kick off from Monday, February 05, 2024, until Sunday, March 10, 2024.

In collaboration with Camelback Ranch-Glendale Stadium, the library invites readers of all ages to embark on a literary journey that not only promises the joy of reading but also offers the chance to score a free ticket to a Dodgers or White Sox Spring Training baseball game.

Participants are encouraged to read or listen to a book of their choice and then visit any Glendale Public Library location to complete an entry for weekly game ticket drawings. Additionally, attendance at a library program or event earns readers an extra entry for the weekly drawing.

The grand prize bundle is sure to delight baseball enthusiasts, offering four (4) Dugout Box Tickets to the last game of the spring training season on March 23, an opportunity for one lucky winner to throw the ceremonial first pitch during the final game, and two (2) Autographed Baseballs.

"We're thrilled to launch the Spring Training Reading Challenge, encouraging our community to embrace the joy of reading while enjoying the excitement of Spring Training baseball," expressed Greg Kinder, Administrative Librarian, "This collaborative effort with Camelback Ranch-Glendale Stadium adds a unique and engaging dimension to our library programs."

Whether you're a seasoned reader or just starting your literary journey, this challenge welcomes all ages to participate and combine the love of reading with the thrills of Spring Training baseball.

To get involved, residents can simply visit any Glendale Public Library branch, pick up their reading challenge entry, and dive into the world of books and baseball.
