2024 Heroes Charity Softball Tournament Benefits Special Olympics

The Peoria Police Department and Glendale Police Department have partnered to create a charity softball tournament involving police officers and firefighters throughout Arizona. All proceeds raised will benefit Special Olympics Arizona and Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Arizona.

The double elimination softball tournament will be at Paloma Park, 29799 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway, Saturday, January 20. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:30 am. The tournament begins at 9 am. This event is free to the public and will feature a home run derby.

The departments taking part in this tournament include: Peoria Police and Fire, Glendale Police and Fire, Scottsdale Police, El Mirage Police, AZ Department of Corrections, Gilbert Police, Phoenix Police (2 teams), Surprise Police, Avondale Police, Yavapai County First Responders, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Salt River Police, and Special Olympics AZ.
