Congratulations to Janelle Benale who has been selected to fill the vacant Detention Sergeant position. Sergeant Benale will be assigned to the Page Detention Facility.
Janelle began her career with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office in August 2014 as a Detention Officer I assigned to the Page Division. She was promoted to Detention Officer II in August 2016.
Janelle has served the Sheriff’s Office and community in many different capacities through her career at CCSO. She is a Field Training Officer and Firearms Instructor. Janelle has completed the Coconino County Employee Leadership and Engagement Academy (LEAP). Since 2014, Janelle has participated in the Page Police Department’s ‘Shop with a Cop’, as well as the Sheriff’s Office ‘Adopt a Family’, and the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Special Olympics. Janelle received the Exchange Club Officer of the Year Award in 2019.
We look forward to Janelle’s continued Service to Community as she shares her knowledge, skills, and experience with others as she assumes her new role as a Sergeant with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.
