The Peoria Fire-Medical Department is holding a Youth Firefighter Academy from July 10-13 for young men and women ages 17-19 who are interested in learning about the fire service. This academy is free of charge and lunch is provided each day. Topics include search and rescue, team building, hose stream management, educational opportunities, CPR and more.
