Coconino County’s annual Winter Parking Ordinance goes into effect on November 1, 2022. The ordinance, which will remain in place until April 1, 2023, prohibits vehicles from parking along county-maintained right of way at all times both to facilitate safer snow removal operations and to help mitigate dangerous snow related traffic congestion and parking issues.
Each year between November 1 and April 1, motor vehicles must be kept clear of county maintained right of way. In those sections of the county where Ordinance 2017-11 No Parking signs have been posted, violation is a civil traffic offense that carries at least a $200 fine in addition to any other penalties that may be imposed for such an offense, including towing the vehicle at the owner’s expense.
