Celebrate National Poetry Month with a relaunch of our monthly Poetry Out Loud poetry reading and discussion group. Poetry Out Loud meets on the 2nd Friday of every month to discuss poetry from that month's poet or theme. Pick up materials from the Downtown Library Information Desk. Weather permitting, Poetry Out Loud will meet on the North West Lawn outside of the library. Alternatively, the meeting will be on Zoom if needed. Email libraryprograms@flagstaffpubliclibrary.org or call 928-213-2331 for additional information.
This month we will be reading poems with the theme of "There Will Come Soft Rains"/April Showers. We will read and discuss an eclectic selection of contemporary and classic poems focused on gentle rains including Mary Oliver's "Rain," “April Rain Song” by Langston Hughes, and “Pulling Down the Clouds” by Ophelia Zepada.
To request a reasonable accommodation for any type of disability, please call 928-213-2331. Three days prior notice is requested.
