Coconino County Health and Human Services issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
The authorization of COVID-19 Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster doses is currently being reviewed and includes several steps involving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Pfizer (Comirnaty) has already received authorization for booster doses, and these are being given throughout Coconino County, including at CCHHS clinics and pop-ups.
Until a final decision is made, and we receive authorization, Coconino County Health and Human Services will not be administering Moderna or Johnson & Johnson booster doses.
Updates regarding availability of booster shots will be posted on the website at https://www.coconino.az.gov/2547/Vaccine-Info when available.
