Coconino Community College recently issued the following announcement.

There is a lot you can do to shore up your defenses against cancer, both now and in the future. Director of the Northern Arizona Cancer Support Community Cindy Payne joins us for a special Comet Talk revolving around the book "Anti-Cancer Living: Transform your life and health with the mix of six" (2018) by Dr. Lorenzo Cohen and Alison Jefferies.

This Comet Talk comes in conjunction with the Northern Arizona Cancer Support Community launch, taking place October 8th and 9th. Learn more about the Northern Arizona office and programs at https://cscaz.org/northernarizona/.

Comet Talks are free and open to the public. Registrants may attend live in-person at the CCC Fourth Street campus or tune into the live webinar stream. All registrants will receive access to the webinar the week prior to the lecture.

An educator for more than thirty years, Cindy Payne serves northern Arizona as the executive director for Cancer Support Community Arizona. CSCAZ is a nonprofit organization offering education, support groups, community, healthy lifestyles partnerships, and psychosocial support at no charge to Arizona residents impacted by cancer so that no one faces cancer alone. Dr. Payne served as an administrator at Northern Arizona University for twenty-six years. She is a faculty member in the Ed. Psych department for the College of Education at NAU where she teaches part-time in the Counseling masters degree program working with graduate students who hope to secure higher education administrator positions.

Reasonable accommodation for a disability available upon request via registration.

Current guidelines regarding face coverings and other COVID protocols can be found on the CCC coronavirus web page, https://www.coconino.edu/coronavirus, and changes to the COVID protocols throughout the semester will be posted in this location.
