The Northern Arizona University (NAU) athletic department has concluded its participation in the Big Sky Conference Men's All-Sport Trophy standings, securing the runner-up position. This announcement was made by the league office today. NAU achieved this standing after claiming four championships across six sponsored sports.

The Lumberjacks earned a score of 7.6, narrowly trailing behind Montana State, which secured the trophy for the second consecutive year with a score of 7.7. NAU surpassed Weber State and Idaho, who scored 6.8 and 6.0 respectively.

NAU's championships were won in cross country, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, along with a regular season title in tennis. This marks the second year in a row that NAU finished as runner-up to Montana State after previously winning seven straight titles starting from 2013-14. Overall, NAU holds a conference record with 17 men's All-Sports trophies.

The men's tennis team completed their regular season undefeated in Big Sky play at 7-0 and an overall record of 22-3. Despite falling short in the championship match, they achieved their highest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) ranking at No. 59 and ended the year ranked No. 66.

In cross country and track events, Michael Smith received recognition as Big Sky Coach of the Year for each title won by his teams. The cross country team claimed victory with Nico Young leading throughout to finish first at 22:31.5 — ahead of teammate Drew Bosley by 26 seconds.

For indoor track and field, NAU clinched its eleventh consecutive conference championship with a total of 182.50 points while also receiving accolades such as Men's Most Outstanding Athlete and Co-Men's Most Valuable Athlete awards.

Outdoors saw them secure their third straight title with an impressive score of 220.5 points — marking it as one of the highest point totals recorded within conference history.
