The Northern Arizona University (NAU) athletic department has secured its 18th Big Sky Conference Men's All-Sport Trophy, as confirmed by the league office. The standings for this trophy are based on a formula that evaluates each school's performance in regular-season finishes or conference tournament results across all conference-sponsored sports offered by the institution.

The Lumberjacks claimed three conference titles in men's cross country, men's indoor track, and regular season men's tennis. This achievement follows the NAU women's team finishing as runner-up in the Big Sky Women's All-Sport Trophy standings. The women won championships in cross country, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, and a Western Athletic Conference title in swimming and diving. Overall, NAU's athletic department won seven conference championships during the 2023-24 academic year.

NAU holds the record for the most All-Sport trophies in conference history and had previously won seven consecutive trophies starting from 2013-14. After two years of finishing second to Montana State, NAU topped this year's standings with 8.4 points, narrowly surpassing Montana State's 8.0 points.

In cross country, NAU began their successful year by winning their third-straight title with Nico Young leading as he secured his second individual title. The team also placed runner-up at the Division I National Championships after winning the Mountain Regional.

On the track, NAU captured its 12th consecutive indoor title before achieving fourth place at the NCAA National Championships. Garret Bernt earned All-American status with a third-place finish in weight throw while Young clinched the individual 5k title. Outdoors, they finished second to Montana State by just one point.

Men's tennis shared a regular season title but fell to Sacramento State in the championship match despite remaining undefeated at home and earning six All-Conference honors.

The football team contributed by securing fifth place with a 5-3 Big Sky record—their best since 2017—and achieved three ranked victories including one against national runner-up Montana along with eight All-Conference honors.

Men's basketball concluded seventh under first-team selection Trent McLaughlin’s leadership.
