The Northern Arizona University (NAU) Athletic Department and LEARFIELD's NAU Lumberjack Sports Properties have announced a significant development in their partnership with Findlay Toyota Flagstaff. The dealership has entered into a 10-year sponsorship agreement, securing naming rights for the Lumberjacks' football field and basketball court. These venues will now be known as Findlay Toyota Field and Findlay Toyota Court at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome. This marks the first time that NAU Athletics has had a naming rights partner for these facilities.
Findlay Toyota Flagstaff also becomes the exclusive "Official Automotive Partner of NAU Athletics." This partnership allows the dealership to co-brand with NAU Athletics, host fan giveaways, and offer exclusive fan experiences during football and basketball seasons. Their brand will continue to gain exposure through NAU Athletics' social media, digital platforms, radio, television, and in-venue signage.
"NAU Athletics' relationship with Findlay Automotive is one of our most valued," stated Mike Marlow, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. He emphasized the shared focus on student-athlete experience and community engagement between NAU Athletics and Findlay Toyota.
Robby Findlay, Vice President of Findlay Automotive, expressed pride in being associated with NAU Athletics. "This sponsorship is our way of demonstrating our confidence in the direction of the program," he said.
Todd Wyard, general manager for NAU Lumberjack Sports Properties, highlighted the positive collaboration with Findlay Toyota: "We are elated to extend their relationship with the Lumberjacks."
The partnership is managed by NAU Lumberjack Sports Properties on behalf of the university. LEARFIELD is a leading company in intercollegiate athletics media, data, and technology services.
Northern Arizona University has been part of the Big Sky Conference since 1970 and supports 15 NCAA Division I programs. Notable achievements include five-time Division I Men's Cross Country National Champions status and multiple conference championships.
Findlay Toyota Flagstaff has been serving Coconino County since 2010 as an authorized Toyota dealership. They are part of a larger family founded by Pete Findlay in 1964, which operates 37 dealerships across six western states. The dealership is recognized for its community support and excellence awards.
