If you need help stretching your grocery dollars, donated food is available for pick up every Thursday from 7 to 8:30 am at the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson Street. St. Mary’s Food Bank provides a variety of food including fresh fruits and vegetables, bread products, and drinks. The Peoria Community Center also serves a hot lunch every Monday through Friday at 11:45 am. A donation of $5 is requested for those under 60 years old and $3 for those 60 years and older to help offset food costs. If you can not afford the total amount, any amount you can afford is satisfactory. A meal delivery service is also available for seniors who qualify.
