Gary Alpert, also known as "The Fly Guy," will be hosting an exciting and educational workshop for children at the Peoria Public Library. Aimed at kids between the ages of 6 and 12, this hands-on experience will delve into the wonders of flight.

During the workshop, children will have the opportunity to create their very own hot air balloons. As they construct these miniature marvels, they will also learn about the fundamental forces that affect flying objects: thrust, drag, lift, and gravity. Seating is limited for this event, with only the first 20 children able to participate. The Fly Guy will be conducting the workshop at two separate locations. The first session will take place at the Sunrise Mountain Library, located at 21109 N. 98th Avenue, on Saturday, January 20, from 11 am to noon. The second session will be held at the Peoria Main Library, situated at 8463 W. Monroe Street, from 3 to 4 pm.
