The Peoria Police Department, in collaboration with the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety, will be hosting a Motorcycle Safety class on Saturday, February 3. The event will take place at the Peoria Sports Complex, located at 16101 N 83rd Avenue, from 8 am to 1:30 pm. The class is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.

The program will consist of a short classroom discussion, where participants will learn about safe riding habits and overall motorcycle safety. This will be followed by hands-on course instruction, aimed at reinforcing critical riding skills and promoting optimal responses to dangerous riding situations.

According to the Peoria Police Department, this class is not intended for new riders seeking an endorsement. To attend, participants must have a valid driver's license and motorcycle endorsement. It is important to note that seating is limited and individuals will be selected to participate based on application screening.

In order to register for the class, motorcycle riders can visit the official website of the City of Peoria at https://www.peoriaaz.gov/motorcycleclass.

The Peoria Police Department is committed to promoting motorcycle safety and reducing the number of accidents on the road. Sergeant John Smith, a spokesperson for the department, emphasized the importance of attending such classes, stating, "Motorcycle safety is of utmost importance to us. We encourage all riders to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge."

The partnership between the Peoria Police Department and the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety highlights the commitment of both organizations to ensuring the safety of motorcycle riders in the community. The Governor's Office of Highway Safety is dedicated to preventing crashes and saving lives by promoting safe driving behaviors.

Motorcycle riders in the Peoria area are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to improve their riding skills and learn important safety techniques. By participating in the Motorcycle Safety class on February 3, riders can equip themselves with the knowledge needed to navigate the roads safely and confidently.
