Take a free international excursion with Peoria Arts during the Global Sounds concert series, exploring music and dance throughout the world. Experience six concerts spotlighting musicians, vocalists, and dancers from throughout the world. This series of free concerts are designed to introduce local audiences to performing artists who possess diverse cultural and musical perspectives. All concerts take place in the Gyder Theater at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, 10580 N. 83rd Drive. The first concert is Wednesday, January 10 starting at 7 pm. The artist is Giovanni Kiyingi & Friends featuring Ugandan folk, fusion, and Afrobeat. Reservations are encouraged and available two weeks before each concert. Complimentary tickets may be reserved through the Center’s box office by visiting theaterworks.org or calling 623-815-7930.
