Join the annual City of Peoria Winter Water Safety Day and Polar Plunge. Saturday, January 6 from 8 to 9 a.m. at Sunrise Pool, 21321 N. 86th Drive. Those daring enough to swim across the pool in 40-degree water will receive a free shirt. The event is free. Donations are accepted. A $28 donation pays for two weeks of swim lessons for a child unsure of their swimming skills. For more information, visit www.peoriaaz.gov/aquatics.
