The 27th Annual Arizona Songwriters Gathering with the Arizona Songwriters Association will take place January 27, 2024, at the Glendale Main Library, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This free event welcomes performers, writers and music enthusiasts of all ages to the Glendale Main Library to collaborate and perform. Over 100 live music performances will occur throughout the day across three stages.

Participants can join open song-sharing circles by bringing their voices and instruments. Workshops and lectures by industry experts, including Robin Frederick, Tracey & Vance Marino, Pat Pattison, and Shelly Peiken, will cover practical topics such as song critiques, sync and metadata, the Music Licensing Collective, TV and film placement, prosody, digital audio workstation recording and building a successful independent music career. Participants can also participate in a songwriting challenge hosted by local songwriter Sandy Hathaway.

Food trucks will be on-site for attendees to purchase food and beverages. The Arizona Commission on the Arts supports the event, funded by the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts. They are collaborating with the Glendale Main Library and the Arizona Songwriters Association, with sound support and sponsorship from Barnett Productions.
