Non-profit service organizations invited to participate in The City of Peoria Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

The City of Peoria is gearing up to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with a special event on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The event will take place at the Peoria Community Center located at 8335 W. Jefferson Street.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the public is invited to join in on the festivities and enjoy a variety of multicultural activities, live music and entertainment, engaging activities, and much more. The event aims to bring the community together and honor the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr.

In addition to the entertainment and activities, there will also be free books available for children, health and wellness vendors, service projects, and community resources. The City of Peoria is calling on non-profit service organizations to participate in the event and contribute to the community.

Sherie Steele, a representative from The City of Peoria, stated, "If your service organization is interested in participating, please call 623.773.7396 or email Sherie.steele@peoriaaz.gov." This is an excellent opportunity for non-profit organizations to showcase their work and make a positive impact on the community.
