Master Gardener volunteers from the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in Maricopa County are offering their expertise to help residents with their desert gardening questions. Whether it's selecting the right plants, managing irrigation and fertilization, pruning techniques, pest management, or diagnosing garden problems, these knowledgeable volunteers are here to assist.
This Saturday, December 16, the Master Gardeners will be at the Sunrise Mountain Library located at 21109 N. 98th Avenue. They will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to answer any questions and provide advice. If you're unsure about a specific plant or have an insect specimen that needs identification, feel free to bring it along for further assistance.
According to the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, these Master Gardener volunteers have undergone extensive training to ensure they can provide accurate and reliable information to the community. Their goal is to promote sustainable gardening practices and help residents create thriving gardens in the desert environment.
In an interview with the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, one Master Gardener volunteer expressed their enthusiasm for assisting the community: "We're excited to share our knowledge and passion for gardening with others. It's rewarding to see people's gardens flourish and witness their joy in connecting with nature."
The Master Gardener program is part of a statewide initiative aimed at educating and empowering individuals to become skilled gardeners. These volunteers dedicate their time and expertise to make a positive impact on the community's gardening practices.
