The city of Glendale is pleased to announce the appointments of Eartha Washington and Jack Pritt by the Glendale City Council to serve as City Court Judges.

“Judge Washington and Judge Pritt are accustomed to high-volume case management,” said Glendale Presiding Judge Nicholas DiPiazza. “They bring two very different perspectives which will be an invaluable service to the court. We look forward to working with our new judges in our renovated courthouse, which will be completed in the first quarter of 2024.”

Judge Washington most recently served as a Commissioner of the Maricopa County Superior Court, presiding over Family, Juvenile, Lower Court and Criminal matters. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Grand Canyon University and a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Judge Pritt has practiced in both state and federal court, most recently as Judge Pro Tempore at the Litchfield Park Municipal Court. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from the Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Little Rock’s William H. Bowen School of Law. “I do not take this appointment lightly and appreciate the opportunity to continue to be a judicial officer,” said Judge Eartha Washington. The City Judges are responsible for misdemeanor, criminal and civil traffic, city code violation, and protective order cases involving alleged violations of Arizona Statutes and City of Glendale, AZ ordinances.
