President Joe Biden's economic policy is a hot topic for debate these days.

Merissa Hamilton, chairwoman of Strong Communities Action, took to Twitter last weekend to express her views on "Bidenomics" and the current state of the U.S. economy. An Arizona native, she highlighted the challenges faced by American families, noting many need to work multiple jobs in order to afford basic necessities such as food and shelter.

“Bidenomics has caused families to have to get two or three paychecks just to afford food and a roof over their head,” she said in her Twitter post.

President Joe Biden disputes maintains Bidenomics is delivering positive outcomes for the American people, the Associated Press reported June 28.

"So-called ‘Bidenomics’ has been a disaster for Arizonans," U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz., said in a July 9 Twitter post. "President Biden’s economic agenda has forced Arizona families to live paycheck to paycheck and pay more for just about every basic ingredient at the grocery store.”

During a recent speech in South Carolina, Biden touted the achievements of his economic policy, highlighting the improved state of the American economy compared to a year ago, Associated Press reported. He emphasized positive indicators such as job creation and lowered inflation while attributing the shortcomings to the previous administrations' implementation of trickle-down economics.

A recent poll indicates only 34% of Americans approve of Bidenomics, with Biden's overall rating currently standing at 41%, according to Associated Press.

"Our plan is working," Biden said in a White House news release. "And one of the things I’m proudest of is that it’s working everywhere, not just on the coasts and big cities, like previous recoveries. This time, investment is working, and factories are being built, and jobs are being created — happening in rural America, the heartland, all across America — in communities that have been left out and hollowed out.”
