Coconino County recently issued the following announcement.
Come adventure with us this January with a guided hike of Woody Mountain! We will hike from Rogers Lake up to the Woody Mountain Fire Tower where we will admire the vast views of the Ponderosa Pine Forest and the San Francisco Peaks. This moderate hike will be around 6 miles in length and will take us through the Rogers Lake County Natural Area and along a forest service road to the summit. The hike will take place on Saturday, January 8th from 12 PM to 6 PM. The program is $26 for adults and $16 for youth. Participants under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult. This program permitted for operating partially on Coconino National Forest land. Registration is now open and there are only a limited number of spots available. Sign up soon if you are interested!
