Coconino County issued the following announcement on July 16.
Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) was holding a Back to School Health Fair on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event held at the Health and Human Services Building, 2625 N. King St., Flagstaff.
Students received vaccinations required for Arizona School entry and vaccinations recommended by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). School required vaccinations will be available at no out of pocket cost. Vaccinations are available via the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program for those who qualify. Those with insurance are asked to bring their insurance card.
“During the pandemic, routine childhood vaccination rates dropped dramatically,” CCHHS Director Kim Musselman said. “Although numbers began rebounding this spring and summer as families rescheduled doctors’ visits, many children and adolescents are still behind on their shots. We want to make getting school vaccinations as easy as possible.”
