SHEPHERD OF THE DESERT LUTHERAN CHURCH: Financial Education Workshop: Parents, Kids and Money Matters®

Untitled

Shepherd Of The Desert Lutheran Church recently issued the following announcement.

Becoming wise with money begins in childhood. This workshop includes fun tools to help parents talk to their children about money choices.

You’re invited to join us, Thrivent, for a free financial educational workshop called Parents, Kids and Money Matters®.

What affects kids’ attitudes about life and money? You might be surprised. This workshop brings parents—and kids ages 6 to 10—together to:

• Reflect on the values you want your children to learn.

• Use the concept of stewardship to teach your kids how to take care of the resources God has entrusted to their care.

• Use the Money Matters pig and other practical tools to teach your kids how to share, save and spend.

A workbook will be provided to each participate and a piggy bank will be given to each child that attends. Please RSVP so that we have the appropriate number of each.

This class will be lead by Myles Leverette, a Thrivent financial representative and Courtney Brookins, Community Engagement Leader.

Myles is originally from Richmond, IN and a recent grad of Ball State University. He is back in Richmond because of his passion to educate his community about finances and how being wise with your time, talents and treasures can really make an impact on your life and other's.

Light refreshments will be provided during this class.

No products will be sold.
