T-MOBILE USA INC.: T-Mobile's “Do It the Right Way” Approach Leads to 12th Straight Year on World’s Most Ethical Companies List

Award

T Mobile USA Inc. issued the following announcement on Feb. 25

T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) has been again named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies — for the 12th year in a row — by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices. T-Mobile is one of 132 companies that earned a spot on this year’s list and one of the few to have been included for 12 out of the 13 years Ethisphere has been listing the best of the best corporate role models around the world.

“It’s no coincidence that T-Mobile has landed on Ethisphere’s list for 12 consecutive years! We’re not just jumping on the band wagon here. This is recognition we’ve EARNED because we keep our values at the center of everything we do every single day. At T-Mobile, winning is important, but how we get there matters. We move fast, turn on a dime and play hard — but we always stay true to who we are… without exception!” said John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile.

At T-Mobile, “Do It the Right Way” is at the core of the company’s DNA – it’s included in the Code of Business Conduct that every employee, supplier, partner and contractor relationship gets training on when they start with the company. The Code provides moral direction in areas of interpersonal behavior, environmental responsibility and workplace ethics.

Further demonstrating the Un-carrier’s commitment to corporate responsibility, T-Mobile has pledged to use 100% green energy by 2021 and partnered with the Nature Conservancy to plant 300,000 trees for Earth Day 2019. T-Mobile also received more than 70 national workplace awards last year, including Best Places to Work honors for parents, diversity, women, Hispanics, and is ranked #42 on FORTUNE’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2020.

Ethisphere compiles its annual roster of the World’s Most Ethical Companies via a rigorous methodology that includes more than 200 questions regarding company culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity and initiatives to support a strong value chain. The process serves as an operating framework to capture and codify the leading practices of organizations across industries and around the globe.

Even during this pivotal moment in the history of T-Mobile, the company continues applying the most rigorous ethical principles to every aspect of business. Doing so is not only the Un-carrier way — it’s the right way.
