The Pendley Homestead Apple Packing Shed at Slide Rock State Park will be open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests can learn about Arizona history by exploring the historic packing shed, where a park ranger will be present to answer questions about the homestead’s past.

The site features equipment such as the Bean Cutler 1933 Sorter and a Bean Cutler Polisher that was added in 1946. These machines are part of the original apple-packing operations at the homestead.

The event is scheduled for weekends, but organizers note that days and hours may change depending on the season.

For additional details, interested individuals can visit the official website for Slide Rock State Park’s apple orchard: https://azstateparks.com/slide-rock/apple-orchard
