Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 class of the Lumberjack Athletic Hall of Fame, according to an announcement from the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Athletic Department. The deadline for submitting nominations is Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

The Lumberjack Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 1981 to honor student-athletes, coaches, staff, and teams who have made significant contributions to NAU Athletics. Inductions occur every two years.

Eligibility requirements state that former student-athletes, coaches, and staff can be nominated five years after completing their careers at NAU. Student-athletes must have competed for at least two years at the university. Teams may also be nominated if they achieved extraordinary accomplishments such as winning NCAA, regional, or conference championships.

National Championship teams receive automatic selection into the Hall of Fame; however, the timing of their induction is determined by the Hall of Fame committee and the NAU Athletic Director.

“The newest Hall of Fame class will be inducted in conjunction with NAU Football’s Hall of Fame game at a date to be determined during the 2026 season.”

Nominations can be submitted by filling out a form available online or by contacting Stayson Isobe at Stayson.Isobe@nau.edu.
