Northern Arizona University announced on May 8 that 65 current and former student-athletes will earn their degrees as part of the spring commencement ceremonies at the Walkup Skydome.
The graduating class represents all 15 of NAU’s Division I programs. According to the university, these student-athletes have contributed to a tradition of competitive success, winning conference championships in the Big Sky, Western Athletic Conference, and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation during their collegiate careers.
The full list of graduates includes representatives from men’s and women’s basketball, football, golf, tennis, soccer, cross country and track & field, volleyball, swimming & diving. Degrees earned range from undergraduate majors such as Mechanical Engineering and Psychological Sciences to master’s programs in Organizational Leadership and Business Analytics.
Northern Arizona Lumberjacks has produced distinguished alumni inducted into the Big Sky Conference Hall of Fame and has excelled in cross country and track & field with multiple conference championships and national titles among its alumni. The program promotes student-athlete development through comprehensive support services. Facilities such as Walkup Skydome and Lumberjack Stadium support athletic activities. The university is recognized for academic achievement through frequent placements on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team. NAU competes as part of the Big Sky Conference,according to the official website.
The commencement events mark both an academic milestone for these athletes and reflect ongoing efforts by Northern Arizona University to foster excellence both in competition and in academics.
