Flagstaff’s Stacy Saltzburg named Clerk of the Year by AMCA

Flagstaff City Clerk Stacy Saltzburg has been honored as the Clerk of the Year by the Arizona Municipal Clerks’ Association (AMCA). This award is given to a clerk whose achievements have significantly contributed to improving municipal government and their community.

Stacy Saltzburg has held the position of City Clerk for Flagstaff since 2018, making numerous notable contributions. In 2021, she earned her Master of Public Administration from Northern Arizona University and later received the 2023 NAU MPA Public Service Alumni Award for her dedication. She has led major initiatives in Flagstaff, such as updating and securing voter approval for City Charter Amendments that enhanced city operations and establishing hybrid City Council meetings to increase accessibility for residents. Additionally, she serves as Clerk for the Flagstaff Downtown Business Improvement and Revitalization District and was recently named an Athenian Fellow by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

Flagstaff City Manager Greg Clifton stated, “for Stacy to be recognized by her peers as the City Clerk of the Year is truly a great honor and an amazing milestone in her career. The Flagstaff community is fortunate to have such talented leaders serving in this organization. We are all so very happy for Stacy!”
