Flagstaff Mall announced a series of community events for May, offering cultural celebrations, classic car showcases, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for community giving.
The month’s schedule includes the Donate for Mothers Blood Drive near JCPenney on Friday, May 8 from 1 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors will be entered into drawings for Flagstaff Mall gift cards and those donating between May 8-10 will receive a $20 rewards card. All participants who give blood during May have a chance to win one of three $10,000 gift cards. Appointments can be made by calling 877-25-VITAL or visiting vitalant.org with code FLGmall.
On Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Shadows Foundation and Flagstaff Mall will host the Children’s Spring Entrepreneur Craft Fair in the Entertainment Area near JCPenney. More than twenty young entrepreneurs ages five to seventeen will present handmade crafts and baked goods at their own booths during this free event.
Other highlights include Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 9 with creative craft activities and character visits; the Character Kindness Club featuring Darth Vader from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and JCPenney Kids Zone from 11 a.m. to noon where children can make Mother’s Day bouquets with no registration required.
Automotive enthusiasts can attend the GoF West MG Car Show on Tuesday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon and the MG Car Show Funkhana Event on Wednesday, May 13 at the same time in the south parking lot. The East Flagstaff Community Market is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring local vendors in the east parking lot.
Pet adoption events are planned throughout May in Center Court with High Country Humane hosting an event on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by Coconino Humane Association’s Dog Adoption Event on Saturday, May 30 from noon to four p.m.
The Shadows Foundation Spring Color Fun Dash will take place Sunday, May 24 at Findlay Toyota from eleven a.m. to three p.m., sponsored by Flagstaff Mall.
