The City of Flagstaff has introduced an interactive online map that displays the locations of short-term rental properties within city limits, along with emergency contact information for each property. This tool is intended to help residents and visitors quickly find owner contact details if there are concerns or emergencies involving a short-term rental. The map, as well as further details about how short-term rentals are regulated in Flagstaff, can be accessed at Flagstaff.az.gov/STR.

According to city requirements, owners of short-term rental properties must obtain a license each year, pay both transaction privilege tax and an annual licensing fee, and notify neighboring properties before starting operations.

Although the City of Flagstaff manages certain aspects of short-term rentals, Arizona state law restricts cities from regulating either the number or specific locations of these rentals.

For additional questions about local regulations concerning short-term rentals, individuals are encouraged to email ShortTermRental@flagstaffaz.gov.
