The City of Flagstaff is seeking public input on its Food Action Plan through a series of community open houses scheduled for October. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive roadmap for improving the local food system, focusing on food access, support for local businesses, public health, and addressing climate-related challenges.

Community members are invited to attend two upcoming feedback events. The first will take place on Wednesday, October 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the East Flagstaff Community Library located at 3000 N 4th St. The second event is set for Saturday, October 18 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Downtown Library at 300 W Aspen Ave.

During these sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the draft plan, share their ideas, and help determine priorities for future action by the city. An online survey is also available for those unable to attend in person. More information about the plan and access to the survey can be found at connect.flagstaffaz.gov/foodactionplan.

For questions regarding the Food Action Plan or participation in these events, Steven Thompson, Sustainability Manager for the City of Flagstaff, can be reached at (928) 213-2144 or steven.thompson@flagstaffaz.gov.
