The Flagstaff Fire Department has announced the death of Deputy Fire Chief Jerry Bills, who passed away on October 9, 2025. Bills served in the fire service for nearly four decades, including 19 years with the Flagstaff Fire Department.
Bills was recognized for his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to his colleagues and community. The department noted his compassion and loyalty during his tenure.
Plans are underway to honor Deputy Chief Bills with full Line of Duty Death honors. Information about memorial services and tributes will be provided to the community soon.
