The Downtown Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library will start a window replacement project on March 23, according to a March 20 announcement. The library will remain open during construction, though some scheduled programs may be affected while work takes place in the community room, youth services, and adult services areas.
The project aims to improve the facility while minimizing disruptions for patrons. Those who are sensitive to dust or noise are encouraged to use the East Flagstaff Community Library, which will stay open throughout the construction period. Holds from the Downtown location can also be sent there for pick up.
During construction, six parking spots in the north-east portion of the Downtown library’s parking lot will be blocked off for materials and equipment. Free parking options are available on Birch Street west of Humphreys Street and on Sitgreaves Street.
“We thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this necessary and exciting project!” said Emily Cain, City of Flagstaff Marketing and Public Relations representative.
