Flagstaff’s Dark Sky Brewing Company has been recognized in the 2025 Best of Flag awards, organized by the Arizona Daily Sun. The brewery received top honors in several categories, including Best Staff, Best Brewery, and Best Overall Bar. These awards are determined by community votes through an online ballot and celebrate local businesses across various sectors.
Owner Larami Sandlin expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that the awards are particularly meaningful because they reflect the opinions of the community they serve. “A first place win is always an honor, but the Best of Flag contest is especially meaningful because the results come from the community we’re so proud to serve,” Sandlin said. She added that their team’s dedication is evident to their guests, as shown by their recognition for Best Staff.
Dark Sky Brewing also achieved second place in the categories of Best Patio and Best Bar Food. The company has been active in fostering community connections through events and partnerships with local organizations. The brewery plans to celebrate its achievements at an upcoming event on January 22 at High Country Conference Center on Northern Arizona University’s campus.
Since its founding in 2014, Dark Sky Brewing Company has been known for its unique craft beer offerings available at two locations in downtown Flagstaff. They continue to serve a rotating selection of beers and have expanded distribution across Arizona and southwestern Colorado.
