Cedar Avenue will be closed to all traffic between West Street and Fourth Street on Tuesday, November 11. The closure is necessary for crews to complete roadway striping on the new asphalt pavement. According to officials, colder temperatures and possible moisture are expected in the forecast, making it important to finish the striping work quickly so that the road is safe and clearly marked for winter.

Detour routes will be set up along Dortha Avenue and Linda Vista Drive. Access to businesses and Monte Vista Drive will remain available through several north-south roads between Dortha Avenue and Cedar Avenue. Drivers are asked to follow posted signs and use caution while traveling in the area.

During this period, residents can expect temporary access restrictions, flaggers directing local traffic, detours for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists, construction equipment present on the roadway, and potential travel delays.

Officials stated: “We are almost finished with work along the Cedar Avenue corridor and appreciate your patience during construction. Thank you for supporting this important work to help reduce post-wildfire flooding impacts to the homes and businesses in the area.”

For more information or questions about the project, residents can call 928-255-5153 or email info@museumfloodprojects.com. Additional resources are available at www.museumfloodprojects.com.
