Former Coconino High School standout Michael Padilla helped lead his current team, the Cal State East Bay Pioneers, to a 76-67 victory over the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.

The matchup—held at 7:30 p.m. at Pioneer Gymnasium—marked the first tournament game between the Pioneers and the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros.

The Cal State East Bay Pioneers are scheduled to play their next game at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 16 at Pioneer Gymnasium.
