BoxLunch announced on May 23 that it will host a weekend-long grand opening event for its newest retail location at Flagstaff Mall.

The specialty retailer is inviting pop culture fans to participate in the festivities, which will include games, prizes, photo opportunities, and a live DJ from 12 PM to 3 PM on both Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. The first 50 attendees each day will receive complimentary BoxLunch gift cards valued between $10 and $100. Fans are encouraged to line up ahead of the store’s opening at 10 AM on Saturday and 11 AM on Sunday for a chance to win.

According to BoxLunch, each new store location is designed as an immersive destination for pop culture enthusiasts and reflects the brand’s commitment to charitable partnerships. The company said it partners with local food banks through Feeding America, including St. Marys Food Bank, to help fight hunger and provide access to nutritious meals for individuals and families across Flagstaff.

BoxLunch said that for every $10 spent in-store or online, it will help donate one meal to Feeding America. The company guarantees a minimum of 10 million meals (a monetary equivalent of $1 million) donated from February 4, 2026 through February 1, 2027.
